BUILD YOUR ADU

Where Do You Want To Build Your ADU?

Should You Build an ADU or a Garage Conversion?

Step 1: Initial Consultation
MV Design & Builders will schedule an initial consultation with the client to understand their requirements, budget, and goals for the ADU project. This may involve discussing the client's vision, desired features, and any specific design preferences.

Step 2: Site Assessment and Feasibility Study
The MV Design & Builders team will conduct a thorough site assessment to evaluate the property's suitability for an ADU. They will consider factors such as lot size, setbacks, zoning regulations, and any potential constraints. Based on this assessment, they will provide the client with a feasibility study outlining the design possibilities and any challenges that may need to be addressed.

Step 3: Design and Concept Development
Working closely with the client, MV Design & Builders will develop conceptual designs for the ADU. They will create architectural plans, floor layouts, and 3D renderings to help the client visualize the final product. Feedback from the client will be incorporated into the design until a mutually agreed-upon concept is reached.

Step 4: Permitting and Approvals
MV Design & Builders will handle the necessary permitting and approval processes on behalf of the client. They will prepare and submit the required documents, including architectural plans, engineering reports, and any other relevant paperwork, to the local building department. They will also coordinate with inspectors and authorities to ensure compliance with building codes and regulations.

Step 5: Construction and Project Management
Once the necessary permits are obtained, MV Design & Builders will commence construction. They will oversee the entire construction process, managing subcontractors, scheduling inspections, and ensuring that the project stays on track and within budget. Regular communication with the client will be maintained to keep them informed of the progress.

Step 6: Interior Finishes and Customizations
During the construction phase, MV Design & Builders will work closely with the client to select interior finishes, such as flooring, cabinetry, countertops, and fixtures. They will provide guidance and options based on the client's preferences, ensuring a cohesive and personalized design that aligns with the overall vision of the ADU.

Step 7: Final Inspections and Handover
As the construction nears completion, MV Design & Builders will schedule final inspections to ensure that all building requirements and safety standards are met. Once the inspections are passed, they will conduct a walkthrough with the client to address any questions or concerns. The keys to the finished ADU will then be handed over to the client, marking the successful completion of the project.

Step 8: Post-Construction Support
MV Design & Builders will continue to provide post-construction support to the client, addressing any warranty-related issues or minor adjustments that may arise. They will ensure that the client is satisfied with the final outcome and offer assistance in transitioning to the new living space.

Throughout the ADU development process, MV Design & Builders will prioritize clear communication, transparency, and collaboration with the client to deliver a high-quality, customized ADU that meets their needs and exceeds their expectations.
